Services & Treatments
I provide individual, virtual psychotherapy sessions to adult’s ages 18 and older in New York State. I understand you may be nervous to do virtual sessions if it is your first time. You are welcome to try it out and see how it goes!
While I tailor the treatment to my clients individuals needs, the therapeutic framework I primarily work from is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I also incorporate Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction, Exposure Response Prevention, and pull from TEAM CBT when appropriate. If you are not familiar with CBT, I encourage you to read a little more about it! It is an evidenced based, structured, goal-oriented approach where you look at how your thought patterns influence your emotions and behaviors. We also will uncover core beliefs/ self-defeating beliefs and how these are influencing your day to day interactions. At times, I will incorporate written exercises into our sessions and ask you to complete therapy homework to reinforce what we work on in session. CBT helps you to be your own therapist and not depend on your session week to week to feel better.
I am most experienced with the following problem areas: various forms of anxiety, sadness/depression, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, relationship and communication issues, work stress, life transitions/adjustments, perfectionism, and procrastination.
